Invitation to the Grand Sabbat Ostara
Spring/ Vernal Equinox

Ostara in the Latin name for the Saxon goddess, Eostre. She is a maiden goddess. She symbolizes springtime, new growth, and rebirth. Offerings of cakes and colored eggs were made to her. The white hare was especially sacred to her.

The Vernal Equinox is a time of balance when day and night are equal. It is a day to celebrate both the Earth and the Sun. Our ancestors honored the balance of all things female and male, spiritual and physical. Signs of reawakening life can be seem everywhere. This season brings freshness into our lives and a new perspective as we shed the heaviness of winter and welcome the warmth of Spring.

Lisa Dawn will be leading the ritual.

Weather permitting we will do the ritual at the Alter. Bring walking shoes, a flashlight, and instruments.
